What is Ceramic Painting Workshop?

Ceramic Painting Workshop (Kelas Melukis Keramik) is a workshop where you can learn to paint bisque ceramics with glaze. In addition, we can also study the clay process from the beginning to the finished product.

What’s a bisque? Bisque is a pottery that has been fired in a kiln. So, you don’t have to worry about painting on a sticky pottery.

And then, what’s a glaze? Glaze is the outer coating of pottery. You know, the shiny stuff! Furthermore, it also what gives pottery its color. So, you can also choose the color and be creative to decorate your own potter!

Create your own unique bisque

What’s more, this workshop’s concept is Paint & Coffee. Ever heard of Wine & Paint? A place to paint while enjoying a glass of wine? The concept is similar, which is you can paint a bisque while enjoying a drink from our cafe, for example coffee and green tea. But keep in mind, the drinks are non-alcoholic!

What’s so unique about this workshop?

• The bisque that we use is semi-porcelain (stoneware). Furthermore, it’s food grade, guaranteed to be safe!
• Our instructor has a degree in Product Design and specializes in pottery
• The workshop is curated by Stanford engineer who specializes in ceramics study

What are the activities?

In this workshop, you can learn the stages of ceramic craft

The ceramic painting workshop is divided into two sessions, namely an educational session and a painting session. In the education session, we learn together the clay processes, variations of glaze and how to paint bisque with glaze. After that comes the painting session. We paint a bisque of our choice within 1 hour. Don’t forget to look for inspiration at home first, so you can use the full hour.

Who can join?

This workshop is open to children and adults. The child category is open to 4 to 12 years old, while the adult category accepts 13 years old and up.
