DMDIO

Domisilium Studio is an Indonesia-based interior design firm specializing in custom residential, hospitality, and commercial projects.

The studio is led by Santi Alaysius, an award-winning designer known for her work on the Waldorf Astoria Hotel Chicago, Jennifer Lopez’s New York home, and the Kosenda Hotel, alongside Hamphrey Tedja, a versatile architect with global experience. Together, they lead the studio in creating functional, timeless spaces built on quality and innovation.

Domisilium Studio collaborates with Mukura under the design name DMDIO to launch the OCEAN Collection, designed with sustainability at its core to raise awareness of ocean health; the Earth’s largest carbon sink and a vital force in reducing global carbon footprint.

  • The Idea

    Shellter is inspired by mushroom coral, its circular form textured with grooves that echo the coral’s ridged surface. Designed by DMDIO as part of the Ocean Collection, built around interior light play and marking Mukura’s shift to recycling 100% of ceramic production waste back into the production line, a step toward protecting the ocean, Earth’s largest carbon sink.

    How to Care?

    Mukura breezeblock is finished with a glaze layer engineered for daily wear. The glazed surface has zero porosity, so a damp cloth lifts dirt and stains with no scrubbing required. Outdoors, a hose down keeps it clean.

    Interior Combination

    Mukura breezeblock performs equally well as an interior feature or an exterior facade. Fired at over 1000°C and resistant to chemicals, stains, and scratches, it holds up against direct weather exposure as confidently as it does indoors.
