Kawung takes its name and form from Indonesian batik heritage, carrying a traditional motif into a breezeblock built for contemporary spaces. Rendered in ceramic, it’s part of the Mukura 2017 Designers’ Collection by Zenin Adrian, patented jointly with Mukura under Indonesia’s Directorate General of Intellectual Property.

Mukura breezeblock is finished with a glaze layer engineered for daily wear. A damp cloth removes dirt and stains with no scrubbing needed, thanks to its near-zero porosity.

Mukura breezeblock performs equally well as an interior feature or an exterior facade. Fired at over 1000°C and resistant to chemicals, stains, and scratches, it holds up against direct weather exposure as confidently as it does indoors.
